Greymouth to Franz Josef

Awoke to misty mountains; breakfasted, stocked up with vital supplies and hit the road.

Played for a while at a gorgeous gorge (where particulates of rock flour render the water turquoise).

Lunch in Hokitika.

Decamped in Franz Josef, home to the terminal face of its namesake glacier; also home to a mess of tourists and all that entails.

Took a short walk and skipped some stones in glacial water.

Dinner in the shadow of yet more misty mountains.
