We spent the day walking through the city centre. It began with a large breakfast in a suitable eatery and then we just meandered; we poked around in various shops, strolled through parks, sheltered from a little rain in a coffee shop and at about 4:00 we found ourselves back at our apartment.
Auckland feels like a big city. Far bigger than it actually is. It’s full of curious alleyways and some really amazing and unusual shops. But if I’m honest, I’m keen to get out of the city and see some lovely countryside again. We’ll enjoy our few days here – of that we are certain.
