Today is Wellington Anniversary day, a public holiday here in Wellington. In honour of the brightest Womble, please take time out of your day to listen to this.

We took advantage of the public holiday by returning to Martinborough for a bacon sandwich and a cup of coffee, then driving along the frankly insanely beautiful and slightly terrifying road to Cape Palliser (the southern most point on the North Island).
Cape Palliser has a rather lovely lighthouse, beautiful views of hills, bluffs and some wild, wild beaches.
The beaches are currently home to fur seals that I can’t resist photographing.
