Blinking in the sun

It is said that there is nothing better than Wellington on a sunny day, and who are we to disagree. Today was a simply stunning day, warm (hot even) in the sun and a light northerly breeze to keep us cool (occasionally cold). Honestly, we’re not expecting the weather to be like this often … but we agree that there is probably nothing better than Wellington on a sunny day.

We eventually made it out of our extremely comfortable and well appointed AirBnB and after a while standing blinking in the sun … had brunch, sorted mobile phones, bank, Snapper cards and a completed a quick food shop.

We looked at the city through very different eyes today … and we had to keep pinching ourselves that this was our new home for a while. And you know what … we’re pretty excited by the prospect.
